Scenario In 1984 a body was found in Lindow, Britain. the body showed evidence of a head wound, the throat had been cut and the body had been hung. You have been commissioned by New Scientist to investigate the circumstances and cause of death of Lindow Man
Task You will travel back in time to investigate not only the cause of death but the nature of the Celtic Society. Your task is to reach a conclusion as to the nature and cause of the death.
Process The class will divide into groups of four people. Each member of the group will research one of the following aspects; History of Celtic Britain, Nature of Celtic Society including occupations, art, music, jewellery, myths and beliefs; Celtic Religion and the role of human sacrifice; Role of the Druids; Body as evidence. The group must then synthesize their findings. Using a power point presentation, each group will present their findings as an oral presentation.
